On behalf of the members of Samuel Cody Aviation Lodge No 9953, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our website. Whether or not you are already a Freemason, I hope you find this website both useful and informative.
Samuel Cody Aviation Lodge is one of many lodges within the Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight and we meet at the Bordon Masonic Centre. We pride ourselves on our work, both during our time in the Lodge room and in the aid of charity – one of the main precepts of Freemasonry.
Freemasonry is a fully inclusive fraternity with members from all backgrounds and walks of life, with an age range spanning many decades. It is the ultimate leveller, a society where friendship and goodwill are paramount.
Freemasonry and charity
What many people may not know is that Freemasonry is a great contributor of charitable donations – second only to the National Lottery in the United Kingdom – and is solely funded through the generosity of Freemasons and their families.
Built upon the founding precepts of helping those who are less fortunate, this work continues today amongst not only it’s members and their dependents, but the wider community with over 50% of funds raised being given to non-masonic national and local charities in support of their work for local communities and society in general. This includes long-term funding for medical research such as prostate and ovarian cancer.
